Mission statement: “To equip the Body of Christ to fulfill the Great Commandment (Delight in God) and the Great Commission (Declare the Gospel) one disciple at a time (Disciple Making).”
Thoughts from Jim: I was on vacation in St. Augustine, Florida for a week of rest and relaxation with my wife. When I visit the beach, I especially enjoy walking out on the pier and watching the fisherman. While I was enjoying my time at the end of the pier (photo above), I noticed one fisherman. He kept leaving his pole to get a drink and visit with some of his friends. I was even watching his fishing pole and I saw it move. Another fisherman saw it and he yelled to him that he had a bite on his line and to come get it. When he finally arrived the fish was gone. That happened not once, not twice, but three times. After the third time, an old timer yelled out to him, “Sonny, if the fish are biting, don’t leave your pole!” Right after he said that, the Lord impressed upon me the truth of that statement with a spiritual dimension. He said, “The Son of Man came to seek and save the lost, don’t leave them alone when they need to respond to Me.” Jesus reminded me that to be a good fisherman (Matthew 4:19), I needed to stay with my pole-and make sure I am available to the people who are lost (19:10; Acts 8:29-39; 1 Peter 3:15).
The church cannot win the lost to Christ if they do not welcome and befriend them (Luke 15:1-2). The church cannot win the lost if they are focused on other interests and do not love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. This ministry is designed to equip you to delight in God and declare the gospel by making disciples who multiply themselves by making disciples, who will make disciples.
Come and join me “The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.” Revelation 22:17
on this journey of faith in Christ “You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” Psalm 16:11
as we seek to delight in God “Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight.” Psalm 43:3; “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39
declare the gospel “Come, follow Me, Jesus said, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19
and make disciples “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
who make disciples “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.” 2 Timothy 2:2
who make disciples…“So the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.” Psalm 78:6
